Hi,

Need somebody to taxi my parents from larnaca airport to kyrenia and return them 11 days later when they join us on holiday in september.

Does anyone have any recommendation's on people and price's as car hire company's seem to be expensive.

Bellapais rentacar very good £40 each way and car hire prices competitive. Very reliable - we have used them 3 times and always been at the airport waiting for us even after 7 1/2 hour delay!!

Mehmet Senturk is a lovely Cypriot with a taxi license, who owns a Mercedes Vito - 7 seater people carrier. His price for transfers to Larnaca is £45. He is very reliable and will wait if there are delays on arrival, and his Engilsh is excellent. You can call him direct on 0533 8657159.

Littlenige - hope that retiredtocyprus means retired, and that you don't do airport runs without a licence or a work permit??!!!

we live beside larnaca airport and my husband used to do taxi runs from north when we lived there he can do it no problem just email me dates etc. if interested.

we will charge you 35.

doesn't mind what time arrival/dep. He has lived in NC £15 years

yes and why can he charge £35 - because he is another illegal driver - doesn't pay any taxes or contributions to the state and is not insured for carrying passengers as a taxi. Idiots

How do we find out who are legal or illegal drivers? Personally, I would

prefer to travel via Ercan as I have to do in winter, but don't have much

time at present and Larnaca flights quicker & usually cheaper.

The only legal one have taxi on the roof and have a meter they charge apro £2.50 per mile.



Yep girne to lapta 12 miles cost 30 ytl



So kyrenia to ercan 22miles aprox =£55 or 135ytl at speeds up to 100 mph

well perhaps use the internet? There are plenty of referalls for Cypriot companies on this forum for goodness sake, all you need do is look! Any company such as Sun Rent A Car, Bird Rent A Car, will all do airport transfers, even if you don't have a hire car, Bellapais Taxis, Ibo Taxies etc etc. C'mon there is no excuse.

Kyrenia to Ercan - £25 - £30, and no they don't need to have a T plate nor Taxi on the roof - get your facts straight. As long as they have a license for passengers then its fine. Why do you think hire companies can transport their customers?
