Its seems ok to post a thread that goes on and on about some dog that turns up at someones work place, as an example, but when a young person posts a topic about being bullied in the playground at school the thread is closed down. This young person is obviously very upset at the possibilty of not getting their exams completed. This could be a call for help and should be addressed as such until otherwise proven different. Well done 44 a very samaritan way of coping with the topic, just close the door and hope it goes away. What was the topic posted last week " What makes a good moderator" I wonder.............!!!!!!!

I mentioned all that on another earlier thread! Some witty comments from some postings! Maybe the age is a joke, maybe the student is a joke, maybe the school is a joke, but even if it is real (and someone lied about their age!), I don't think the forum is the place to air the problem. It needs to be taken up with the school, with parents, etc etc.

I THINK what you have missed is the fact that a thread was closed criticising Mrs Unwin and some event at Sunny Lane School where a student claims to have been dismissed just a couple of weeks before GCSE exams - and unjustifiably. The moderators closed the thread, but some of us looked up the 'poster' who claims to be 80 years of age! Something wrong somewhere.

Is the only reason you think it's a wind up because the person has their age as 80 on their profile? Have you read any of their older posts about PS2s and Xboxes? This is a 15 year old boy, give him a break.

I may well wrong here - I usually am - but I think the posting was, to some extent, genuine. You can forget about profiles being accurate. I have come across males being females, ages given which are absolutely ludicrous, etc. etc. I honestly think it was a lad/lass who feels he/she was hard done by Mrs Unwin.

Rightly or wrongly, I don't think the message was a complete wind-up.

Unless, of course, the poster has a grudge against Unwin Estate Agents????????????

I dont think this is a wind up just because they have stated their age as 80yrs, some on here have strange employment details like astronauts etc so does that make all there postings wind ups. Why would they have their email address visable and their phone number available on past postings. I agree with joeandjelly message 13.

Guys I would'nt normally get involved with a what. why, who thread like this but in this case I am.

It is a genuine post from a very upset young man, so forget all the why does he say hes 80 stuff. Lots of folk put silly info on their profile. He is not the first and wont be the last.

To the young gentlemen involved..I'm sure Mrs U has taken you both out of the equation while it is dealt with. There is no way she is going to make a judgement by something someone has told her, even if it was her daughter, she just needs time to speak to the staff etc and find out what has been going on. People will realise you used 44 because you feel vilified and you will be forgiven for that Im sure.

It needs to be left to sink down to the bottom now.
