How do you feel on your birthday, good or bad?

I can understand people trying to get older but when you are pushing towards 70, is it polite or otherwise to remind people of their birthday?

I mean, we cannot help but age but do we have to accept that we are becoming old, not to mention "the dirty old man" label that sometimes people put on us poor souls



Ok, I own up, its my 68th birthday tomorrow but should people really rub it in? What makes it bad is that my so called friends on this damn facebook have been reminding me about it. I can hear them saying, ha ha ha, he is really pushing towards 70, poor old man. No, I feel young and perhaps its about time I find myself a nice young girlfriend, maybe about 20, or should it be 30? I don't know, what was the age of that lady that grandpa Papandreu, the old Greek Prime minister had or what is the age of the new wife of that French President, was it Mr. Sarcastic or something like that? Please leave Berlusconi out of this, he is Italian and he has such a right by birth.

Berlusconi couldnt even manage it if he didnt have power or money.Italians right by birth well I will remind Guido he can take a young model because its his right. You are still so young now in this day and age. You men age better than us ladies of the same age. swop us in by all means but remember we know your bank details and divorce costs big bucks. I'd say be GRATEFUL to reach 68. And Happy Birthday 2 U.



My Granny was 91 when she passed away. In her mind she stayed 20, believed and behaved that she still was, keeping update with all of life.



OK we can't do what we used to, BUT we do what we can.

I must admit that I felt much worse passing 60 than I did passing 50 or 40, but then I remembered that it gave me access to my pension and bus pass ..... and much more time to spend in the beautiful TRNC .... and then it didn't seem so bad!

How does one feel ? Good, very good.

Well, I have #62 coming up in May. Each and every one now with good health is a bonus.

Bit more cautious when jumping walls and climbing ladders, and determined to age gracefully if that is possible lol

I think that in my 60's I have never been happier, even though our income is less than 1/6 of the hey days of work. My only wish ? That I had met Diana 20 years ago so we could enjoy more time together.
