Just delivered another batch of Tastes From Cyprus cookbooks to the Ozankoy bookshop and met the owner of Bostans Bar and Restaurant Ozankoy. He told me he had started having an evening where he uses recipes from the cookbook.

A good way to introduce yourself to the great recipes in the book.

I am sure that this idea will catch.

Come on Lilli - give us a date so we can put it in our diaries and tell everyone else about it. I get fed up with last minute offers which I can't take. So, I am being selfish here - I don't want to lose out!

And having seen the book, it is great. Of course it is no good to me as one, who my darling old mum spoke of as 'No good to anyone - you can't even boil an egg' to which I replied 'I shall need a servant then!'

Seriously, I think the book should make a great souvenir for holiday makers. Sometrhing attractive and Cypriot and which will be of value over and over again. Look forward to tasting the receipes. If I cooked them they would be 'orrible.

Thanks. No time to really get it in the paper, but plenty of time to circulate friends. Any idea on costs? Perhaps I can persuade my hard up friends to come too. I assume it is from 7p.m.

Ta ever so.

Bedtuime now.

The first nights recipe from the book was delicious, we all thought it was terrific. We received our 12 new copies of the book at the bookshop yesterday and have already running out. People buy their own copy and are then so enthusiastic that they come back for other copies for friends. And of course proceeds from the quiz for such a deserving cause. Well done for thinking of it Francesca and Bostan with your Anglo/Turkish partnership its ideal.

Hi Zanky,

Thanks for your comments, lots of people have said how delicious the meal was, have to say that some of that was down to Bostan's cooking, we do use the recipes as an inspiration but you know what it is like when cooking you sometimes get the urge to add a little bit. Hopefully it will encourage people to have a go themselves - just off up the mountain now to pick a few ingredients ;-)

Hey Franceska,

My wife and I will be there for 10 days from Feb 9. Can you tell me exactly where you are please? And can I get a book there?
