Hello,

I am a student at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, where I am producing a shortfilm as my final exam.

This film looks into the subject of Cyprus dispute, however not by showing it visually, but rather by picking it up as a metaphorical story told by a narrator. For this shortfilm is about a turkish Cypriot, who wishes for change in the political conditions, I need a turkish Cypriot to narrate the story. I don't want to make any compromises and would like the cypriotic accent to be authentic.

That's why I come to you.

I am living in Vienna and the search for an turkish Cypriots who are talented narrators is very difficult.

So if you can help me for example with the adress of something like an association of Turkish Cypriots in Germany or Austria, or if you have any other idea, you would help me very much.

I will be very thankful for any tip or adress you can give me.

So thanks in advance...

Best

Nick

Perez. I think he mentioned that it's not a 'visual film'.

You do not say if you want the narration in English or Turkish? There are a lot of talented TC's from London, but their accents are often south London when it comes to English.

Equally you do not say if you want someone actually in Vienna.

If you wanted someone from here, I could find out fo ryou from , say, BRT or university drama departments. But I realise you have already been given some leads. However, if that fails, then I am at your disposal.

I would volunteer myself - I justr LOVE narrating but I am not Cypriot, so I appreciate what it is you want.

Good luck with the venture.

Nick. What made you choose the Cyprus dispute for your final exam?

Nick,

Are you by any chance of Greek Cypriot or Greek descent as your surname suggests this? If so why did you choose to do the film from a Turkish Cypriot point of view? Sorry not being pedantic just interested.

the film or narration must be in TC language I assume, as the TC dialect cannot be adapted into any other language.. it would make no sense.. so, turkish cypriot is my "mother language" and german and english I would count as followers.. ..

send me an mail with the text you want and I think about the project.

good luck

Why isn't Nick answering any queries, or has the other thread, now closed, answered him. His real name is not given, nor an e mail, and he seems to have signed up for this request only.

Come on Nick, - reveal a bit more of yourself and answer some of the folk's questions - or they really will think it is a 'wind up'.

Guys!

I am so sorry for not answering. But I've been working hard to make the film come to life. I've spent the last month in Cyprus for filming. And everything went pretty well.

I am very very busy right now for the production is coming to an end. But I will come back and present you the results.

Thanks again. All the best.

Nick
