If you are looking for a special meal out then try Bellapais Gardens. We have been there tonight, for the first time, even though we have lived in the Bellapais area for a year......what have we been missing???? The best Kleftico I have had on the Island, and I have tried lots. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the views to die for, even at night. A pianist providing music.....vegetables cooked like they should be - al dente - even the broccolli was perfect.......One starter of king prawns and salmon, 2 fantastic kleftico, bottle of Yakut, 2 coffees, 2 brandies.........and excellent service.....129 lira....excellent value for the quality of the place and the ambiance. You wouldn't get that in the UK!

We went there over New Year - really excellent and will return in the summer. Try the Duck with the orange sauce - made with oranges from their orchard - fantastic !

This place should have cleaned up years ago as one of the top 100 places in the World to dine in. Glad to hear their cuisine is catching up with their ambience!

Oh dear! Please don't spread the news too much as we will have trouble booking our favourite table.

Bellapais Garden Hotel Restaurant. Best on the Island by far.

Staff really make you feel welcome and views are spectacular.

Go for the Kleftico as suggested in message 1

Great food!!!! DON'T MISS OUT

Hi, have to agree. Went their for dinner on Saturday with some friends, the whole experience was wonderful, the food excellent the ambience and the service from all staff was fantastic (they made you feel as if you were the only people in the restuarant. For that special occasion this really is the best place to go on the Island

Are you sure you are all talking about the same hotel eg Bellapais Gardens in the title or the Bellapais Monastery Gardens in the sub-title?

The one I was referring to is Bellapais Gardens which you get to half way up the road through the village on the way up to the monastery. Bellapais Monastery Gardens is the hotel up the hill before you get to the village I believe. Don't know which one others are referring to, but Bellapais Gardens, in the village, is excellent.
