We came to Cyprus over new year for 2 weeks and the weather was gorgeous. Able to sit out for breakfast and lunch. It was cooler in the evening but we just needed the calora heater on and we were warm. Sorry to come back to all the snow and cold in England. Can't wait till March when we will come out for good. I'll take Cyprus weather at any time over England even the high heat of the summer.

Think you will find that a pattern is emerging regarding global warming,

It's beautiful in the day when the sun is out however it is chilly/cold in the evenings from about 3.30pm onwards. It is also colder inside than outside but this morning we have cloud.

But who cares ............ it is still warmer than UK!

The incresaed sunny weather here is all due to Global warming. You see I have been paying attention to the UK PMs remarks over the past few years. Well global warming concerns keeps politics and banking scandals off the front page of the newspapers.

What's this about shortage of grit and salt in UK?

and it's the coldest winter in the UK for 30 years. My timing was perfect. I think my luck has changed. Now to get the book published.

I was in Tenerife for Xmas, warm during the day and the temp does not drop much at night, so you do not need heating or a jacket...it is all year round sunshine, not like here

I much prefer Cyprus to Tenerife but from Dec to march here you need to wrap up and have heating in your house as most of them are cold inside due to no insullation.

minertor, message 14, our thermometer is on the wall in the shade. x

scoobydoo, message 13, you are right, its warmer outside than in. It also depends where your property is situated, in the mountains it's cooler and darker, by the sea it's warmer and brighter, but also more breezy! x

everon,

But better in the mountains in the summer with lovely cool breezes, we only used our ac's twice in the evenings during last summer and I think that was just to make sure they worked!

Whatever I still know where i would rather be.

Only had our fire on 3 nights so far this year.

Wife's got an electric blanket for her side of the bed,

Come on peeps!!! who can bring Lilli a lecci blanket!!!!! honestly it doesn't matter how cold the bedroom is, if my bed is warm i'm in heaven!! it gets rid of that 'damp' feel that you get over here x

you have to be clever! enjoy the beautiful sunny days! when the sun goes down at 4pm, put on your layers, cook a meal in the oven (feel good factor, nice cosy kitchen) close doors, use your heating, calor gas, wood burner, log fire etc. put on the lecci blanket 1hr before bedtime, have a nice warm bath/shower, get into your jim jams/ dressing gown, have your drink of choice, mmmmmmm!!!!!!!! do you really want the UK with all its problems and s--t weather x

I use Leccy Long Johns..they also have the bonus that they cut out the need for Viagra..not that I need Viagra but sometimes a longer session is required for certain persons.
