fridge freezer repair

Hi,



I have an apartment over in Upper Kyrenia and the problem I have is my agent has told me the Siemens fridge freezer is playing up. i.e. it’s going on and off at different times.



He got the Siemens repair people out and they have quoted a ridiculous price of 650 lira and in my calculations are about £265 which i find very expensive.



This is supposed to be for a new motor or compressor.



Can someone help me out here with maybe someone who repairs fridge freezers and is reliable, it would be much appreciated. I can’t afford this kind of money to get a fridge fixed.

how old is it, most white goods here Arcelik, Beko etc have a 3yr guarantee, if the 3yrs is over they only charge a minimum fee x

its a seimens and the guy from seimens says its the motor or compressor, not sure what one they meant.

They want 650 ytl to repair it which is a ridiculous price. its more than 3 years old but not widely used to be honest.

my apartment was empty for a good while.
