Navek

You may want to get the blanket checked out first as fuses usually blow for a reason.

How olds the blanket? if its older than 12 months and the fuse has blown, suggests there may be a problem with it - buy a new one and be safe.

Hi racoonchic,

re msg 7

We're talking about our bed, not yours )))

The blanket is brand new this year.

When I checked it, found that it had been folded :-(

Going into Girne today for new fuse.

If I get one, I will get Mrs Navek to roll on it 1st,

to see if she gets a tingle or not, if she does, I'll join her ))))

I find these remarks quite shocking! Given the current climate, I shouldn't plug the fact that you have an electric blanket, some scallywag will only try and nick it.

Navek,

I think you are looking for 3.15 Amperes anti-surge fuse which should be available at Tektan. Furthermore I suggest that you plug your blanket into electrics through an adaptor that trips at 30 mA earth current which is also available at Tektan.

Any shock current through the heart may become fatal over 30 mA, hence the devices that trips at 30 mA. These RCDs are also cumpolsory for instant electrical hot water heaters for the same reason.
