Hi there, we were out there last year and we were getting 2.75 ntl to the pound cash, 2.65 ntl for travelers cheques, we took £ travelers cheques. They would only give us 2.65 for the good old Scottish pounds so take English notes if you have to.

Thanks Marvo

Will take cash but dont see why our good old Scottish notes should be discriminated against!! And the Turks and the Greeks think they have problems, they dont know the half of it!!!!

Hi Bob,

Initially we are just going out on holiday, but we are thinking about buying abroad but just haven't decided on country or location yet.We live in Hamilton but I'm originally from Glasgow and the wife is from Edinburgh.

Hope everything goes okay for you in September.

Cheers Davie

Ive worked all over and no-matter were you go from India to South Africa etc they always give us alot less of an exchange rate because of the Scottish pound. Glasgow airport cashlines give your money out in English pounds but offcoarse u are limited to how much u can withdraw usually 200 pounds

Hi son of howie,

We always use a Nationwide Flex account. There are no charges to withdraw your money and we always get above the tourist rate. You are able to withraw cash using the Flex Card at banks which show the Cirrus symbol.
