Please do not confuse DDoS attacks with the site having been hacked - they are very different.



Hacked implies that the security of the site , in terms of access to priveledged information has been compromised.



DDoS merely compromises access to the site for normal users and does not imply that any priveledged information has been accessable to anyone other than those who should have it.

I think that it was reported that 17 000 people tried to log on within half an hour of the Orams verict being reported and the website was overwhelmed. Please correct me if this is not right.
