I have just had a call to say my friend Nigel is in hospital, was going to add to existing thread but has closed.

I wish Nigel a speedy recovery and I am sure Pat will appreciate any offers of help as she is still in recovery stage after breaking limbs.

After 5 years of fighting the system here, believe me when I say they do need help and support.

Someone said at Lamboussa this morning that he had had a stroke, don't know if that is true. I can't believe the way people are going at the moment. I hope he is well and home soon.

I have just spoken to him on the telephone. He is in Nicosia hospital. I spoke to Pat first and then had a very short conversation with Nigel. He could hardly talk but we hope he will get much better soon.

10 am, just spoken with Pat. She has spent the night there, now home to walk dogs then returning.

Nigel is quite tired and generally feeling lousy. All tests indicate no bleed in the brain, which is a good sign. He is on anti coagualents to break up any clot. The prognosis is good and even a hope Nigel will be home in a week but watch this space.

Pat is very appreciative of all your positive thoughts and comments, she does not use forum herself and cannot use Nigels' logon cos he is banned!!!!! LOL So thanks from Pat.

Please contact Pat before visiting as she thinks it will be at least a couple of days before he will be up to us lot.

From myself, thank you. For now please keep thinking and praying for Nigel as he still has a way to go.

Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue

I will continue to forward this every time it comes around!

STROKE: Remember the 1st Three Letters.... S. T. R.

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) ..she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes..

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening

Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital -

(at 6:00 pm Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ... Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die.. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this.....

Just had a call from Nigel, sounds very tired but he wanted to let everyone know he is OK, is taken his tablets and hooked up to a couple of drips. He would not say which of you they are!!!! LOL

Had to shut him up cos he was still uptight about forum said the server got almost a million hits over his last couple of days.

For those that know him you will understand when he said he got the final call but the old fella upstairs rejected him so we have to put up with him for a while longer yet.

And again for those that know him, I think he had to stop talking when I told him about all your msgs. No doubt he will get around to ignoring them when he gets home.

Saw Pat this morning.

He is very tired and angry about some of the things that have appeared on this forum particularly about his medication and as to if he was taking it.

He is certainly not up to seeing visitors for another few days.

Both Pat & Nigel send there thanks for all your kind thoughts and best wishes.

Can understand why Nigel is angry.

I take it you are referring to a closed thread where personal details by someone who should understand the word 'confidential' thought it acceptable to reveal health details on a public forum?

you are one sad illegitimate wotsit that must sit there all day wondering who to wind up next. just butt out and mind your own business. It is some of your comments that nigel heard about yesterday that sent him into a decline.

As for your comment re those that post on niges forum I think you will find I have posted on this forum for an awful lot longer than you have.
