Would someone be able to record Radio 4 at 13:00 GMT (I think 15:00 our time)?

The BBC's Johnny Diamond is doing a report from Cyprus re the talks.

Hi Gordon, I'll record the broadcast on my computer and write it to a CD or DVD later (I don't know at this moment how long the broadcast will be). P.S. You'd better pray that there isn't a power cut when my computer is recording, because I'll be having a beer at Jessic's during the broadcast...

Gordon! I can't find that program on BBC 4 - they only give "Genre" and "Format". Where do I look?

I've just listened to report on channel 4. It lasted around 8 minutes. The reporter made reference to the forthcoming elections in North Cyprus in April. He mentioned that Talat was trailing behind. He visited North Cyprus which he described as being "gloomier and more backward than the South". Reference was made to the land issue (no mention of Orams). He visited the Grapevine in Girne where some ex-pats were meeting talking about the recent High Court ruling.

He spoke to someone in the South about the talks and asked if unification was possible - the person replied that the talks seemed doomed and a reference of ethnic seperation was made.

The reporter stated that the "doomed talks roll mean the 'de-facto' end of Turkeys EU aspirations" he went on to say that a "nationlist victory in April would spell an end to the talks. Time is running out and Turkeys Europe ambitions will be in dust".

I too listened to the report.

Certainly, it is Turkey that have some very important decisions to make.

I suspect the Turkish admin. await the next big judgment GC's V Turkey regarding property claims and the IPC as suitable local remedy.

Decisive times ahead I suspect.
