| Been getting mixed answers on the forum. Someone suggested I contact you. What is the age of retirement here for a foreigner and can a retired person work on a commission only basis without a work permit? I would like to find an english speaking ticket seller (even if part time) for my partner who has a boat in the harbour - but Im afraid he is soooo laid back he is not trying to find out for himself and of course its not worth his while paying out for a work permit for a person on commission only. Can you help please? |

| ...as a 'foreigner' I retired here at 55...which you can do provided you have 15+ years payments into the social insurance system before you are 55...and i also got my 5% deposit from the provident fund too all in a lump sum and index linked...as regards 'working'..commission or otherwise you need a permit!!!! ...irrespective of what you are doing! although many flout this and have a residence permit...and work! well there comes a day of reckoning from the authorities... which many are finding out when going to renew permits! |
