I'm visiting NC for 4 weeks from tomorrow. Does anyone have something I can do for them whilst I'm there? Visit a site or check something perhaps? No I'm not charging for it. I'll be online for an hour or so, so don't be shy, online or email. I will be checking my email whilst in NC via internet cafe if something urgent crops up.

Hi there,

Give it a bit more time, I'm sure you will hear from somebody soon, a generous offer on your part should not go ignored.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your very generous offer. As we seem to have similar bees in our bonnets at the present time, have you thought of going to see Marion Stokes. She has a weekly surgery on a Friday afternoon at The Pia Bella Hotel I would be very interested to learn if she has any proposals in respect of ammendments to The Specific Performance Law. I will certainly support any initiative. It is clearly the way forward, and heavens only knows that we all need it

If you should decide please pass on our regards to her.

Have a really enjoyable trip. Good luck.

it's east of kyrenia . when you come from the airport you pass it .it has a big sign up a mountain saying chelsey village . it is above arapkoy . i can't think of any other way to explain.

i am sure someone else can explain better.

not my strong point. i get lost in my own garden.

Hi Paul,

Very kind gesture,

Marion ia a truly wonderful person, and I wondered if The HPBG has any specific initiative

to try to get The Specific Performance Law ammended, that is other than widespread publicity.

Please pass on Julie and my kindest regards.

Yes I would also be grateful for this information as in same boat as Paul, still wondering if this is rumour or fact. Hope you had a good holiday Paul. Have a good holiday Martin.

FYI - not sure how reliable this is, but have been told that there is a possibility, that as they have done in turkey, there may be plans afloat that will restrict foreigners buying up to a percentage of land in one area. So, if for example somewhere like Catalkoy, which is heaving with Brits, they may stop sales of Pre-74 directly to foreigners, and that a Cypriot might have to be the guarantor - can't see that being appealing to most though.

Just a rumour mind....

Just seen my above post and must apologise for the careless typing errors. Must have been desperate to see some sun. Hot Hornet there are many rumours going the rounds with regards to pre 74 Title Deeds. What makes me so angry is the underhand way this government goes about things. If they want to retain Turkish land then thats fine and I can respect and see why this might be needed, but please don't keep selling it and allow people to pay for something that they will never own. Of course I can see why they are not admitting to this, just think what it would look like: "prepared to sell Greek property but won't sell their own" If what is written on the HBPG site is true, that pre 74 purchasers are not getting their deeds, it stinks of corruption and dishonesty at the highest level. More bad publicity for the TRNC and yet another reason as to why its not safe to buy there.
