I've never heard,

Of a cracked winscreen being repaired. Small chips in the glass yes.

Better off replacing it as it will get worse.

If you're on a budget and it's a popular make you might find a replacement in a salvage yard.

Hi Steve,

It was actually the Green Garage in Alsancak that told my friend it could be repaired and mentioned a garage in Lefkosa that did this but she can't remember the name.

I always thought you could only repair a small chip. To be honest Chris I've never heard of a crack being repaired - even in the UK.

You can not get a crack repaired, what they do if it is a very small one not in view ie. near the edges ,they can seal each end so that it doesn't spread.

Try the garage diagonal opposite the floating stone roundabout just as you go over the mountain to Lefkosa.

They might have a replacement or tell you where you may get it sorted.

If its in the middle of the windscreen then its a new one i am afraid.

Autoglass do it in the UK and drive you daft with the adverts on TV

Until you get it fixed avoid uneven or potholed roads also avoid putting one wheel or two on the kerb the others on the road twisting the car

Modern windscreens are stressed and are part of the structure of a modern car so any of the above cause the crack to spread
