Hello there



I am writing to tell you of a lovely little dog that has just come to live with me.



My friend rehomed him from your centre 2 years ago. (he flew to the UK on 26/06/06) His name is Elvis and he is a rather scruffy looking cyprus terrier poodle. He initially came over to be with friends but their relationship broke down and he has been moved around lot in the last two years.



Up until a month ago he was living in a house with 3 other dogs. he doesnt play well with others and is very dominant. he got into a lot of fracas with the other dogs and the alpha dog (a rottweiler) kept attacking him. So being a softy he came to stay with me and my two cats for a while till we could find him a home.



Well he found his own home and has now settled down with me. It is a love affair between us and he is so settled already and we are only a month in. Apart from the fact i had him castrated and he is not overly chuffed with me about it he is very happy here.



I had a little struggle with him being snappy at first but now he realises that there is no threat to him he has stopped this. we are having some training to get him a little more sociable and he has gone from not wanting a bed to being curled up on his double feather duvet upside down snoring his head off. (its a dogs life really)



I ummed and aahhed over keeping him as i live in a flat but he is the most walked pooch in the neighbourhood. so i dont feel guilty now. it just goes against my nature for a dog not to have a garden but he is out most of the day and he has become a celebrity round here.



so i just wanted you to know that he is safe and happy and very much loved here.



For years people have always doubted it to be true but i can confirm that Elvis is alive and well and living in Essex!!!!

hi lesleyd,if my mother had,had me castrated i dont think i would be overly

chuffed either, now whats he got to look forward too a good conversation with

the opposite sex

LOL...Thas very true cruggs but look at it this way at least he now has a nice soft double feather duvet to snuggle into instead of having to dig himself a hole every night to sleep in, I just love happy endings.

What a lovely story...I'm sure Elvy will return your kindness with years of returned love.

As for the castration bit....good to know there are responsible dog owners about.

Actually it is not me that owns elvis this is just one of the happy endings that I thought some animal fans might enjoy...lol all I d is try and help kayrenia animal rescue as much as I can from England and my husband does the web site for them free of charge of course. But thank you for your comments.
