Glad it's not just me!!!!! Mine's gone pink/purple on the left hand side. It's really annoying me! My TV is a Philips, also about 2 years old. I searched ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE in the house yesterday but could not find the guarantee, only the User Manual. Got it at Vestel in town. Two weeks ago my other TV went yellow and then I lost the picture completely, just got a blue screen with lines now. Is this one going to die too? Has it had a stroke?

My TV picture went green but it was a problem with the digiturk box not the TV itself. Just a thought.

Does your tv (s) do this on all channels - i.e is it only when on Sat TV / DVD ( faulty scart)

Other things to look for - if only on one side.. close location of Magnets from Hifi Speakers ..

If so try moving the speakers further away from TV

hello metin, depending on how old your tv is ! ie is it a plasma etc or widescreen approx 5 years plus it could be one of many things ! if you have the old style tv it sounds as though you have a blue gun problem in the crt which would leave everything lookin green and pink it could be anything from a dry joint in the video processing dept to just a loose wire so if a hard bash on the cabinet doesnt cure it you may need some help !! alternatively although rare your broadcaster may have a similar problem at their end but this could be varified by playing a dvd and if the same its your box sorry !!

Dear Westender

what happens if you by pass the video.. ? If the video feeds the TV via an aerial cable, I'll wager it will play in colour if using a scart socket to play back a pre-recorded video .. if it doesn't, chances are it is the video that is faulty or a setting on the video .. not the TV!!

WHY? If your DVD works in colour then the only fault with the TV could be it's tuner...anything by passing the tuner - via a scart - say Sat TV, should also be in colour

If it's any help, I have a Vestel old style TV bought new here in 2002. Flat screens & Plasma hadn't arrived in the TRNC then. The picture is also a strange colour round the edges. More Pink hues than green. I haven't used it since this happened 2 yrs ago when it was only 6 yrs old & I really can't be bothered to get it fixed. The TV that we brought from the UK. is still fine, still going strong & also old style, difference is that it's a much older Toshiba.

I may be wrong, but I have formed my own conclusions about Vestel TVs.
