Like several others I've received (anonymous) email about a certain subject. Some say it's from PtePike (aka also EricSeans and a handful of other nicknames), but I'm not sure. PtePike wouldn't make so many errors in his message. Here's the message: "I hope you're ready. A different kind of crusade is on the way. Nothing is for free hans, you are living off of the misery of others. it's time you payed up and pack for the netherlands. nothing personal you know"

It might be helpful to know who 'we' are! The Government of the South? The Greek army? Dad's army? EOKA? Or a revived Crusader from 800 years ago? And it would also be helpful to know whose misery you, Hans, are living 'of'(think it should be 'off').

When all this is known, a counter crusade could possibly be organised to rectify the balance of this all.

But none of us are warmongers, are we - and by 'we' I mean all those who believe in justice, equality and human rights. There are other ways of 'paying'.

As to saying 'Nothing personal'; -it has to be 'personal' if addressed to an individual.

That aside, I would treat mail like that with the contempt it deserves; not being a computer techie I'm not completely sure of this, but can one not find out the provenance of any communication by some computer number or somesuch that comes with any message?

if it,s the same number all the time ,then put a name to the number ,like you would when someone you know calls ,example 1234 your friend john ,so when you get this number calling it would say ,example nuisance caller and not a number and then instead of speaking ,just do what bill say,s and leave them on the line with no one there.

NTL UK Nuisance Call abuse reporting line: 0800 052 1370



UK NUISANCE CALLS CENTRE: 0845 6667000



Is the number that you are being called from a normal UK number or a non geographic number (like 0845) ?



If you want to email the number I can see if it can be tied to a specfic location / address or not. If the calls continue and the numbers I gave above can not help you can report ot the police in the UK as well.



Also if you speak to your phone provider here they can at your request block that number for you I believe.

Emails can be easily filtered. Also you can send an email to abuse@ and then whatever the bit after the @ on the senders email is. If you do this attach some of the abusive emails. Any reputable email provider will deal with such reports.



If you need any help on how to filter a given email sender so that any emails from them automaticaly go into your 'deleted' folder without you having to see them just ask.

While you still have 'them' on the phone line, get the whistle close to the speaker and really BLOW, and again and again. Believe me, they won't trouble you again in a hurry! It happened to us a couple of years ago (on a number withheld) so we got out the old whistle and it worked a treat. Must have shattered their eardrums!

When nice people get hurt, it hurts me, and I want to be a 'Nurse' and make it better. Trouble is that I often cannot, but am happy to try to find someone who can.

Dear all, like Erolz suggested already: block unwanted email senders in your email software! Messages from people on your "Blacklist" will be deleted without you even seeing them. Or read the message, smile and bounce the message. The sender will then see that the message could not be delivered...
