Mermaid fabrics are also to be recommended wide choice of materials and styles.

Had all our curtains/blinds supplied and fitted by the curtain shop when we first moved here.

Used them again to have heavy curtains made for a couple of alcoves last year.

Both the guys speak perfect English and are very helpful.

Would highly recommend them.

Mermaid are good and used them. We also found a shop in Lefkosa market which has a vast array

of gorgeous materials, and they make up anything. Husband and wife are London Turks, bilingual.

Visiting relative had curtains made up and delivered by combi to Girne in 2 days. They were impressed

We have used Curtain shop many times for several years but, last year when we went to them for blinds we thought their prices were high so went to Mermaids where we bought exactly the same blinds saving us 150TL. Was disappointed that after several years as a customer, we found we were not "valued customers" Won't go there again.

Try Fiscos they used to be one of the favoured ones - the son & daughter in law are friendly.

Anything u get in Girne will be more expensive than Lefkosa as it's touristy.

We were very disappointed with the Curtain Shop. Nice guys yes, until you are raising a complaint; our curtains had to go back to them 3 times.

First they came to us with the curtains unlined, the invoice was quoted for lined curtains, and very crooked hems. Next they came back lined and machined crookedly down the leading edge, then they returned them again with the lady who made them, they had a hem on the leading edge but the machining which had been unpicked had been left in and they still had crooked hems! To this day I hate them and the hems are still uneven.

I personally would never use the Curtain Shop again, I would use Huseyn's mother at Mermaid fabrics whose curtains I have seen in friends houses and they are far superior to ours.

Hay Hay on the other side of the road to Mermaid but nearer town were fantastic, we had our entire house kitted out by them and a friend followed suit, English might not be at the top of their priority list but workmanship, choice cost and friendly people were top of the agenda. They also make retractable sunshades which are great.
