Hi, Looking for information on live music in TRNC. Is there any live Jazz or festivals? Any fellow musicians here on this web site? My husband (a drummer & drum teacher) are contemplating retiring to TRNC & wondered what the music scene is like.

Hello Anski, I understand the music scene is quite good and growing in N Cyrprus. If you look back to the beggining of the week on this forum there was a group looking for a drummer! (Rock group..not jazz) I went to a superb charity classic concert at Bellepais abbey last Nov and met one of the saxophonists after, he plays and teaches jazz! I hope to meet up with him when I move there this year and have some lessons on my Alto!



One day I would love to open a Jazz bar/restuarant in n Cyprus......

I also have a friend that is moving back there in August that is a guitarist..
