Joke on radio this am. Ashley Cole was racing back home at 100mph in a 50mph limit as he

heard Terry's car was parked outside his house.

Have you heard the one where Wayne Bridge offered his ex-girlfriend a Cadbury's chocolate penis?

She refused - said she preferred Terry's.

On a more serious note , i think J T being stripped of the captaincy is a backward step for the England football team. With the World Cup not far away this is all we need !! He is the best captain we have had for years !! And that is coming from a Gooner ! Yes he shouldn't have gone there , but footballers nowadays are untouchable .

!! £150,000 per WEEK plus !! Yes it's obscene money and no footballer alive deserves that sort of money. He was stupid and i bet he knows it now !! In my opinion it is a non football decision which will harm the national team. It will split the dressing room down the middle and we do not need that .

He will definitely get stick from the Gooners fans on sunday and as far as football banter goes he will be expecting it. He has a strong character and i doubt if it will effect him one little bit.

arrry. I take your point that stripping Terry of the captaincy is bad news for English football - especially at this point in time.

However, your comment about footballers nowadays being 'untouchable' I would disagree with. Yes, up until now, I would agree, but surely Mr Capello has proved, with his actions, that all footballers are not quite so 'untouchable' as they may have thought?

As for John Terry having a 'strong character' I would wholeheartedly disagree. Do people with 'strong characters' usually act in the way he has? I would have thought the opposite.

Just my opinion.

J......... i mean a strong character football wise . He will be able to bounce off the stick he will be getting everywhere he plays. It is a sad loss to our football team for sure .

Should have read footballers THINK they are untouchable.

Ashley Cole just got done for speeding and why not ?

I wonder if had been a non England player would the F A acted in the same way ??

All the crap will be brought out in the open now !! They will probably bring his mother and father into it as well .

Why do the English press build you up so they can knock you down !!!

It happens all the time in England . Does it happen in other countries. ??

I doubt it .

If i had to pick a world football team JT would be the first defender on my list AND as captain .

Am i really a GOONER ??????????

He'll be back as England captain by May 31st.

Trust me, my lawyer told me. I also had 7 witnesses and he put it in a contract. I registered it, just in case.

Seriously, I think Rio will stand down in June.

I''ve got a sneaking suspicion that Mr Capello asked John Terry whether there was likely to be any more 'revelations' regarding his private life and I've also got a further sneaking suspicion that John Terry may have said 'possibly'

Agree with arrry - the proverbial will hit the fan - big time. How many 'lovers' will John Terry have had? How many of his family members will be involved?

Yer pays yer money, yer takes your choice. No such thing as a free lunch, but for £170,000 a week, I think, if I were a bloke, I would have tried to keep my bits in my trousers. Heh Ho

You could be right Jean, more revelations to come at the week-end. Apparently he was also abusing his position as England captain by offering his personal Box at Wembley (given to him by the Fa as a perk if the captaincy) for £4k a match on a 'cash only' basis. He's abused the position given to him and should be made to pay. I've no sympathy for him.

JT whilst earning £170k pw plus sponserships can, and does do what he likes. Just like Tiger Woods.

When the next unsavoury piece of news materialises, JT and his indiscretions will be forgotton.

Even his wife can forgive him and take him back. So does the public have sympathy for JT's wife or Wayne Bridge, or like normal, just hit the guy whose successful?

I believe that Capello has persuaded JT to stand down, but will re-instate him by June, when Rio will accept that JT should be the man to captain England.

Can you imagine one guy lifts the FA Cup, the Premiership Trophy and the Champions League Cup, but he has to listen to an alleged drug taker, who talks out of the side of his mouth. As most of your already know, JT has already lifted this seasons Community Shield. The opposition included Rio!

Oh, by the way, has Rio's hearing happened yet? You know the one that will decide if he's banned for 3 or 4 games!

Football is another game. Capello is playing with you!

Texas ............... i make you right there. Another story will hit the headlines tomorrow or the next day and JT will be old news. I hope you are right about June and the captaincy . Rio is not in JT's league as a leader and we will need one in South Africa.

With all due respect Capello he is not playing the game......the sweet F A are !!

Emlyn was one of the " Old school " Liz never to be found again . That era of footballers were the true professionals who did it for the glory and the love of the game and not the money. I loved Emlyn, even though he was a scouse git !! Not a true scouser of course but a lad from little old Barrow -in- Furness. He was a true gentleman and a genuine person. Some of the " superstars " of today could learn a a lot from him . A star of " Question of Sport " and a lovely bloke .

arrry ... agree Emlyn was a RED and not bad at QOS.

My lad looks like Stevie G and plays a central role for his team in Lincolnshire at the age of 14. To watch the kids play is a dream. Left and Right foot serious ability, time on the ball and that amazing through ball.

Never would you see or hear about a scally making it from these parts or other.

Football is Knackered in the British and Irish Isles. The likes of John Terry or Rio Ferdinand .... can kiss my ass and all the so called British and Irish Teams that support them.

Sorry, but have to disagree with those supporting JT. The position of captain requires the trust and respect of those who play under you - I would suspect that even in the fickle world of football, his team mates are not impressed with his actions. If this was an MP who had been caught with his pants down, would JT's supporters be putting up an equally strong defence for the MP - I doubt it !!

Paul......i hear where you are coming from ....but...pick a footballer out of the English team that is squeaky clean!!! i bet you can't .!! Rio......involved with drugs.....Stevie G ...involved in drugs ....Cashley .....cheating on his wife ...etc etc they are all the same . Like i said earlier they think they are untouchable and can get away with anything. It doesn't matter who they choose the good old English press will dig some dirt up about them.
