The Swine flu hotline in the UK is now closed as the pandemic is officially over, 411 deaths were recorded in the UK, with over 100 still in hospital receiving treatment. Now in my opinion a lot of people would have died from influenza anyway as happens every winter with the old and infirm, and that is without any fancy name being given to it (swine flu). So did most of the world panic?? Chris

It was usefull to take our minds off our respective governments cock-up of our economies, so I guess it was helpfull to some. Let's hope we can now dispense with the other nonsense story, "man made global warming"

And how many of these deaths really were swine flu? Wasn't it a foregone conclusion if you had flue the doctors without any tests labelled it Swine Flu to be on the safe side. We had a very sad local death. A 16 year old girl died from complications arising from tonsillitis after being misdiagnosed with swine flu over the phone by a GP, her father has claimed.
