There is an awful lot of work and many hours to a builders clean as I did a friends last year as a favour. Okay he bought me a present but it took a lot of hours and days to get it done and that was me getting another friend to do the windows!

If you want it done properly I would say you won't get it for under £300.

Builders should pay for the Builder's clean. They make all the unnecessary mess (r their workers do). Perhaps that would encourage them to be more careful. It won't happen though unless people start to get really tough. Maybe never selling any more property again would bring about changes. it's got to be a buyer's market now.

The nuyer should call all the shots. Pay when the property is finished, cleaned & the deeds are ready. Otherwise forget it. That will teach them.

Ever heard of anyone paying for a builder's clean in a UK. new build?

200 TL sounds far more realistic. £300. You must be joking.

Scruff,

With all due respect 200tl you have to be joking. Have you ever had to go down on your knees and scrub every tile on the floor to get the builders paint of. When we moved in here I had to do that it took me weeks using scouring pads as this was the only way to get them clean. The wardrobes and kitchen units had to be brushed out and then washed at least 3 times, the bathroom tiles on the walls also had to be washed constantly to get the grout that escaped onto the tiles themselves of. I haven't even mentioned the windows with sticky tape and bits of paper on, to say nothing of the paint. So if you can do it for 200tl all I can say is that you have a big heart. I take my hat of to anyone who does builders cleans as it is really hard work and I personally think that £300 is a fair price.

You get what you pay for, most locals only wash and mop, they dont get on their hands and knees and scrap the excess grout and cement off, it is a hard job, we did our lounge ourselves 2 of us, took 12 hours...hence we got someone in to do the rest. Its a hard job and well worth paying the right people otherwise you will only end up paying twice over. Speak to neighbours and friends, but £300 is about right!!!

Actually yes I have. I did the whole house on my hands & knees. I have a big house too - 250 metres. All grout removed with a scraper. Paint splatter removed from all the window glass etc.

Nurse,

We always used to paint before the tiles were on.Therefore no splatter on the tiles,

Paul.

Baspinar Bob,

Yes a full bowl of rice. Everyone else is making quotes without seeing the apartment. Ive seen the apartment so Im aware that it is a huge 750sq metres, plus 500sq metres roof terrace and the place is knee high in rubish and ruble.

I paid £200 to have a builders clean on a 3 bedroom apartment 5 years ago, and even then, they said they would be putting the price up as it took 2 people 3 solid days work. As said previously , you get what you pay for, and this was a proper clean. I had seen what it was like before they started, and there was no way I was going to do it.

Hell my name is Lee from Master Finish, we would charge between 250 and 300 sterling depending on how bad the builders have left the penthouse in.

If you would like to meet up and I could show you a portflio of our work and recomendations give me a call on 0090 5338396399 thanks.
