ulilara - can you post some photos on here of the pups? You may get a better response if people can see them. Meanwhile, good luck in homing them. I dread to think how many dogs/cats we'd have if we lived there permanently Jean

Why would anyone, when there are soooooooooooooo many feral and unwanted and abandoned pups and mature animals and cats - allow their pets to breed - increasing that sad pool of superfluous animals to expand yet again...........

MsGarnet once again I have to agree with you, the strays we have taken in have all been done but i have to confess my mojo my staffi i brought here i cant bring myself to do it to him. He lives like he did in the UK and goes out on the lead so no time for nokkie thank god. THE REason we didnt get him done we were asked so many times to breed him. God Im so glad we refused even though i would have loved him to father pups but there were no other staffis here at the time, now we feel its to late, also as naive as i was then im so glad we did not go down that road. you know my feelings re tyhe animal sitaution here and i will do anything within my limited power to try educate the people xxxxxx

MsGarnet - I have made my views about euthanasia clear on this forum many, many times - agree with you 100%. I only hope I don't stir up another hornet's nest this time by saying this. Jean

Ulilara I wish you the very best of luck in rehoming the pups. However, once you have rehomed them please take your dog to be speyed, unless of course you want to find yourself in this same situation in a few months time. Please don't take this as a criticism, it is not meant as such. Regards Paul

Also - kindly take the FULL details of whomever take the pups, and ONLY allow them the pups on the basis they agree to have them microchipped with their details..............and let KAR know the breed of the pups, gender and individual markings, age, et cetera - so that if they turn up there at any time - they can contact you, and YOU can then go straight to whomever you gave the pups to, and make them accountable.......

ms g if only this could work, i would be chasing people all over the place. When the dogs are dumped on me i suddenly hate the owners and i never ever thought i would experience that emotion, i want to take the near skeletons of thier pets and show them what they have done. sorry but my blood boils when i see the dogs pain. micro chipping would be a great idea but who would implement it. I think KAR should instead of the pretty red earings they put on the strays. I wonder if these owners ever think about them xxxxxxx

Please don't take offence, Ulilara, as none is meant - but you should, unless a pedigree, have had your bitch speyed before she conceived. I understand this costs around 200TL, which we're faced with, with our adopted stray! If I found the b@st@rd who dumped 'our' Alsatian, I'd slip the '0' ring on him, quick smart!
