Our solicitor has advised us that contracts were submitted to Famagousta office where they still are and they are awaiting return with reciept for payment.

Contracts were sent there in April.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Pugsy,

I think I would be very suspicious of what you are being told. I would go to the Famagusta office myself and check!! Good luck.

Hi Wyn,

think your from my neck of the woods. Had so many versions of the truth my head is spinning.

Am at a total loss as to what is going on and where this nightmare will end.

If I had posted everything I had been told up to now people would think I was a Walter Mitty nutter.

Will keep you posted.

Good luck with your endevours also

Pugsey,

E mail me off board.

Who is your advocate? Who is your builder?

We are about 20 miles south of you at Wynyard .Perhaps we can get together for a drink, and to discuss strategy when you are back in the UK. Tel 01740 644095.

Keep your chin up!

Hi Pugsey,

Just read the history of Mr Ozturk. Certainly does not read well.

I think you need a case of wine, if not a truckload.

I'll be in touch.

I paid our advocate £250 months ago to register contract under new law, in the panic of completing before the original deadline.

On our recent visit to TRNC, needed the contract to transfer our names on electric supply with Kibtek, but our advocate didn't have it, it was still with land registry! We were there two weeks, and our advocate couldn't retrieve it while we were there.

I've sent three emails since returning to the UK, but not one reply, in fact while we were there, she didn't see us once, got the messages via her receptionist.

we paid in Feb before original deadline only to be told they had lost our POA with a week to go. Not enough time to post so went our in April.

still nothing and no replies to e-mails.

Still if your having similar problems maybe it is OK and I should stop worrying. You just never know what to think.
