| Our very good friend John, from Catalkoy, and previously Riverside. John and his partner david had made their home here, They had been a couple for over 30 years, 2 truly wonderful guy's.
We met them when we were doing our first month here and staying at Riverside whilst we sorted things. John was diagnosed with Lung Cancer about this time last year,
He was treated here for several months, until things became financially unviable,, and returned to Uk I believe with him being a Merchant seaman he was able to get treatment via a special work related oganisation.
He was hopfully on the mend , but unfortunately the cancer had spread, And we have just recieved the sad news that he has passed away. |

| so sorry to hear this very sad news lee, sadly cancer has no respect for anybody xx thats all we seem to be hearing about lately |

| LIz and we also had new's that Chris who lived at Bellapais a really fit guy for his age ( and he worshipped it here in TRNC)
He was so active with a beautiful home and gardens ,opposite where we first lived in Bellapais, He went back to the Uk for a short period and died suddenly.
Does this mean we are getting old. My next door neighbour in the UK was about 87, and he said to me once, " all I seem to do is go to friends funerals" |

| My father had lung cancer, unfortunately there is no escape and a horrible end to ones life.
I remember my father as the man he was not what he became at the end. |
