Always felt that Creditwest gave a good service and decent interest rate - never used their internet banking service, so can't comment....

Had accounts at Iktisatbank, Creditwest, Turkbank, Continental & HSBC. Creditwest is by far the best,

professional and always courteous.

Creditwest for me, excellent service and internet banking. Interest reasonable, probably not the best, but not the worst either

Go to TEB. Super and efficient. Talk to Mehmet Turgut Bey at their Lefkosa branch

Universal bank is no longer private, it is being "administered by the central bank.

And it's message 10.

Msg 13

Sorry Newscoop. You do have the wrong bank. As Keithr says it is Continental that are under administration by the Central bank & not Universal.

Any bank offering 12% right now will be gone shortly.

Everyone I know is down at 10 - 10.5%.

Credit West. If you tie it up for 3 months the interest rate stays fixed unlike Ko Operative who dropped it even during the month before it was due.

Both CreditWest and Iktisat banks pride themselves on their special services to the English.

Both give excellent service, and Iktisat bank doesn't close for lunch.

I find that Turbankasi has less English speaking staff, and one seems to have to queue for ever.

Virtually all banks here (the bigger ones) are sold financially, - but why not ask them for details of their assetts, background, eprformance etc.
