Accordind to Lord Lamont the former consertative chancellor, speaking on BBC Radio 4 claimed that Greeces vanity and credibility will be affected if its to be an IMF bailout. An EU bailout is illegal inder the Maastricth (DC hope this is right) treaty and the EU will have to find a way around it. He then went onto say that the Eurozone os a monetart union without an economic union. Will Greece care as long as they get the money xx

Where there's a will , there's a way. They'll change the law if necessary to help Greece.

I must take issue with you Bill in message 3.

You don't have to change the law. Just apply an EU interpretation and you get the answer the EU and the Greeks want. Abra.... cadabra

Apologies for the sarcasm.

Newsnight !!!!!!..........................

Did you know that to go on Newsnight you get grilled by questionnaire weeks before hand before being let on & every question asked is pre planned & vetted / watered down. The show isn't live as they make out & is filmed over 2 to 3 hours prior to being edited down to fit the time slot.

Lilli,

Top billing on newsnight, there all sticking together on this one.Greece will be bailed out.The general feeling is that has its a European union if any country has fiscal problems then the rest of the member states should band together and help out the country that has a problem. That does not include u.k. as we are not in the euro.Good old Gordon,

Paul.
