Just a word of warning if you advertise on this site as the 'CyprusForum' on the other side has been looking at this as it gives telephone numbers of the property owners!! if you click Cyprus problem and then go to the Carpetbaggers thread you will see it on there!

No matter what we Brits who bought here say - it is their land - just cos someone with a machine gun forced them off it, don't change anything...



We might has fallen for this "exchange land" twaddle, but the GC's haven't - they weren't privvy to the exchange, and as it was their land in the first place, they really ought to have been involved in any "exchange"....



That's why, IMHO, i do not see how the island will ever re-unite and even if the TRNC joins up with Turkey - the GC's are unlikely to change their stance...



And to think i used to laugh at mmmmm's comments of the situation - in reality he was and always does, tells you just how it is.....

And what about everything the Turkish Cypriots have/or have lost in the South. No one, on either side mentions this. We know several Cypriots here who have lost 100's of donums of land in the South but only got ten per cent compensation on this side. Has anyone got similar knowledge?
