I buy from ebay with only 1 parcel lost so far, the only problem is the cost of the postage and the time

it takes to get here.

I operate a CY based paypal biz account ... if you try to open one in 'TRNC' your IP addy will tell you that you are in Turkey and your default currency will be in USD

Are you asking about selling on eBay or buying from eBay?

Sellers who live in countries that don't have their own designated eBay site usually sign up to dot com or de.

You have to have a Paypal account, a landline telephone and a bank account/credit card. You have to offer Paypal as a payment method.

Anyone who can access eBay can buy from it as long as the seller is prepared to post to their country.

Of course the TRNC will not appear as a country in any lists of countries on Paypal nor eBay.

My account was opened a few years before I relocated to TRNC. Have no problem using it although I only buy now.

I also still use the account I opened in Engand many years ago. I have things shipped here without a problem, and when something did get lost over Christmas, the seller sent me some more, without charge.

Mark,

" if you try to open one in 'TRNC' your IP addy will tell you that you are in Turkey and your default currency will be in USD"

That's really odd because I tried to open a Paypal account with my Turkish address and it insisted on a Credit Card able to negotiate Turkish Lira!

My only local credit cards don't work for Internet purchases.... so that didn't work.

I have successfully bought items from Amazon.co.uk, as long as you check they will post to "Turkey" , Amazon's own stores are fine with this. Goods range from not just books, but jewellery, watches, beauty items , shoes ,

household, phone accessories etc. and I find parcel post gets here in 5 days as apposed to letter post 10 days.
