Its 8pm and all of a sudden the temperature outside has risen unbelievably in Kyrenia. Seriously go outside and feel the difference!! Does anyone know why? I know we get the warm winds but not at this time of year surely?!

I been checking the weather through out the day and yes your right temperature did go up to 61f by 17;30 were as it normally would have been much lower.

The wind is coming from the west tonight and not the north (turkey, cold snowy mountains) so thats probably why its so much warmer, just a thought !!

Yes it was oddly warm outside last night. Cold inside thought and it seemed odd having a wood fire burning when I stepped outside in the warm air to clear the hundreds of baby cicadas lying around. I think they were baby cicadas. Sudden plague of them.

Just finished having my lunch outside sat in the sunshine, watching the blue tits weighing up which box to choose, lovely. I am in a village just outside of Warringtopn in Cheshire, listening to the radio about the snow on the motorways and the Pennines.

Twas on the world weather that a Gulf Stream type affair of warm air was sweeping over the Med and N Africa from the S.West Atlantic and it showed it flying right over Cyprus.
