people are leaving this site ,because to many admins are playing god ,ok if the thread has run its course close it , but dont close it because you can , or because you can ban people , or because you dont like the topic ,or ive got nothing else to do today , people will have opinions , its a forum where we express them ,we dont need some self made god telling us whats right and whats wrong , we already no that .omg ,what have i done lol

It a reason for me not posting to much and only check occasionally.. to much SANSÜR - no real freedom of speech.... but thats common in TRNC.. see the papers, the state TV BRTK, all the same. so why not also here on this forum?

Personally, I think of the admins as being like the committee members of the working mens clubs in UK. All the club members continually complain about the committee, but not many of them put themselves forward to do it.

Your right but it seem to me that its not all Mods, ie No1 Doylen i find him to be very fair, Ismet a nicer person and a very responsible guy, Simbas also she contributes and is not vindictive in anyway but one Mod i find to be very how do you put Bulshy for no other reason that he takes a dislike to you then you have had it.

well this is a long story so to cut it short I have been emailing Izzet about having a ban because I dared to question the moderators because the thread i was on got closed becasue the subject matter didnt interest them. He passed my complaint onto the moderators involved and they never had the decency to answer my questions and concerns. I emailed him yesterday a week later form the incident and Izzet was most upset that the mods had not got back to me. He said it is hard to enforce rules on the moderators as they doing the job voluntarily - so there you are Izzet cannot keep track of what goes on and hence they have become a law unto themsleves - I did say to Izzet only today the 2 mods in question have moderated their moderation over the past week so perhaps they did receive the emails after all

I was a Moderator of sorts.



Had a bit of marital strife and ended up swopping my North Cyprus apartment for my share of the marital home. Didn't post while this was all going on. Now I have been de moderated and have trouble posting new topics.



Never knew marital separation could have such an impact on being a Moderator.

I do not know what you are on but you have put cyprus44 back on track as a forum worth posting on.



This topic is of a genuine concern for a number of us. For me there is only one admin/moderator that is genuinly unbiased. I agree with minertor when he says along the lines - if you can do better have a go yourself, so has anybody offered recently?



Whatever, rowlo please keep bringing up good topics where we can not only discuss the topics but can keep them light hearted.

I'm back from a pointless ban that only proved my point about a moderator being a bully rather than a moderator.



However... I don't like threads being closed as "the subject had been addressed" because often there is an ongoing nature to the subject. That is just because a question was asked and answered doesn't mean no one else has anything to add...



Example:-



Post 1 Where can I buy Yorkshire Tea?



Post 2 Answer, Astro Supermarket, Alsancak



Post 3 Thread closed by Moderator, as the subject was addressed.



Hold on Astro is closed!



Threads are a moving feast and just because the subject may appear to have been addressed should not stop subsequent posts.... should it?



OK some name calling and blatant threats get out of hand and the moderators need to address that.



It just seems like we are being told to shut up and move along by an over zealous Bobby. Moderators ought not to appear like police but more like a mentor friend.
