Someone posted before about how to make the text bigger on-screen by pressing alt(?) and the left arrow(?)?

Can't remember and can't do it now....

Thanks for that Hans.

This was definately just a matter of pressing 2 buttons and it stretched the page sideways to fill the blank margins, making the text appear bigger.

You can also hold ctrl and move the wheel on the mouse to enlarge/reduce font size

Just remembered: you can also permanently enlarge text (and everything else on your screen) by choosing a different resolution for your monitor. I.e. change for example from 1440x900 pixels to 1152x720 pixels (this is for a Macintosh - the figures may differ for a PC).

Hans,

That can distort things not designed for the "non standard" usage also you might find information "off the end of the page" so may need to use your "slider" to find the bits you are missing (see Msg 9).

If people want to try then it is good sense to make notes of what and how you changed so you can go back.

Tom, on my 17" Mac PowerBook screen the things you describe don't happen - but your advice is sound.

On my screen in the bottom right hand corner above the time ..

There is a magnifying glass with + sign & 100% ..

To the right is a small black inverted triangle ..

Clicking on the triangle I can increase & decrease the font size ..

If it is not like this on your screen .. Don't know how to get it ..
