A woman describes how a lost love has re-entered her life via the internet.

My ex-boyfriend found me on Facebook. I am married and quite content. I thought I could control my reaction to him. I thought chatting with my ex would be an innocent flirtation and could use it to boost my self-esteem. He e-mailed me saying that he still thought about me and hoped I was happy in my life. I thought it was nice that he still cared for me. I was flattered — and that should have been my first warning. We started messaging each other about our lives until then and our life philosophies. We chatted in the evenings for about a month. Then I agreed to meet him for drinks......

This seems to be happening quite a lot. I've heard of marriages / relationships breaking up - all down to Facebook. Is Facebook a good idea?

You are probably right Liz. People do get some enjoyment out of it and it is certainly a way of people keeping in touch. However on the flip side I think it's broke up a lot of relationships.

I know some people are going to say that the relationship must have been in trouble in the first place - but not every time.
