As you know Bayram's petrol station suffered an explosion. I spoke to him just before he was rushed to hospital and his and face were badly blistered.

He helps a lot of people (including me) and it would be nice if eveyone could add their good wishes here for a speedy recovery so he knows we care about him.

I'll write the first message below, print out all the ones you add and take to him in a cople of days.

We don't live in Esenteppe, just visit friends there, but try to go to Bayrams for petrol whenever We're near there. He is such a lovely person and always has time for a chat. Last time we were treated to yummy dates stuffed with almonds!

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Hi Bayram,

This is the Australian man and his Chinese wife. We have been to your petrol station and talked with you a few times, and I really enjoyed your beautiful English, as well as your friendly and charming nature.

We are glad your injuries (and those of the other people) were not severe, and we wish you a speedy recovery and hope you will still be seen around the village.

We are hoping that Bayram gets out of hospital today, if not tomorrow.

He sustained the worst burns because he walked into the flames to turn off the flow - otherwise there could have been mamny more injuries and damage.

He is a true hero.

Sounds like the villagers have Bayram to thank for containing the fire.

Takes a very brave person to walk into a fire under these circumstances.

Hope he's out of hospital soon and recovers quickly.
