I've just been reading about a hairdresser in Sunderland that has been done for playing the radio in his salon by the PPL licensing people, he could face a £10,000 fine and six months in prison, all for playing a radio to his customers, I know that radio stations have to pay these people money, so how on earth can they charge someone again ? that's getting it twice surely, the sentence sounds a bit sever but that's because he has objected to paying money to the PPL as he pointed out that the radio station had already paid them.
