Propane is fine, and the supply pressure is the same, but you will need a different regulator to connect to the gas cylinders used here. Local gas fitters can make it work; you might wish to consider a propane gas alarm of the type usually fitted to boats - the flexible hose and clips do not last forever in our climate.

Keep the gas bottle outside (out of direct sunlight) and you will be fine. The medium size gas bottles are 24TL and last for months!

The regulators are easily fitted to the rubber gas hose from the stove (push fit) and cost 20 - 25 TL depending on where you get them. Most Supermarkets and DIY shops sell them.

Get someone to show you how they attach to the bottle, it's easy when you know how but not that easy to work out how it does work without knowing...
