Hiya!

I'm new to this site but myself and my husband are moving to Cyprus in January and i would like to start my own beauty and nail salon. We have the money etc to do this.

My husband's family live there and he lived there for years.

I wanted to know if there are many beauty/nail salons in Kyrenia/Nicosia. I specialise in gel/acrylic nails too.

Your input is appreciated.

Ruby there are so many beauty and nail places, most of the hairdressers offer nails and beauty so think before you go spending loads of money, might be easier for you to work for a salon rather then going to the hassle of starting your own.. Running a business here is not easy and rents are high, everyone is feeling the pinch like the UK but good luck with whatever you decide.

Agree with Teresa Ruby.....think long and hard before taking that big step. Plus there is so much competition in your field compared to several years ago. Good Luck.

Hi RubyChick,

I agree with the others but I do know a few people who have or want to have their nails done but dont have the time to go to the salons so maybe you could try being mobile. I cant find any where decent here to get acrylic nails done I have had them for 5 years in england with no trouble, over here they just lift and come off, I would defo use you!!!!!

Hope it all works out

Emma

Hiya Emma,

Thank you for your feedback. I know its hard to set up a business over there. Being a mobile nail technician is something i had in mind too.

Its definatly worth doing the research and thinking about.

Thanks again

Thank you for your feedback.

I did think about being a mobile nail technician.

I'm coming over for a month in June so will have to do some research while i'm there.

My wife is looking for a decent acrilic nail technician, and she would definitely use a mobile one if it saved her having to go out to one, we live in Catalkoy and theres not one in the village
