Have to concur with you Goonerboy on it being Chelsea's year, but even as a Gooner myself, can't see us doing any better than third. Dodgy goalkeeper(s) and injury blight will not help.

If Portsmouth are removed from the Premiership, all points gained or lost will be added or deducted as the case may be. So Chelsea 3 points deducted, Man Utd 6 points deducted and Arsenal 6 points deducted. that's an interesting scenario!

Bill - message 6. Message from Paul - he says he appreciates how hard that must have been for you to say

He asked me add that Chelsea and MU have a much harder run-in than Arsenal and he thinks it could still go to the wire.

Hope this makes sense (means little to me)

Warm regards and hope you're both well.

I doubt if it will make a difference to the top 3 but I think Aston Villa have the easiest run in for the remainder of the top 7.

Come on Martin bring us in to the champions league.

Man U have a knack of pulling a rabbit out of the hat towards the end of season. I know you impartial observers love to write them off but I'd be watchful if I were you. They've done all before.

Losing matches makes them 'injured tigers' and you know what they say about them.....

In the 'real' football world I think Norwich City will win the title, even though they slipped up against Saints. In the Ponzi Premier it looks like Chelski will buy the title again.

It looks like its going to be close between Chelsea and Arsenal for the top spot, Arsenal have the easiest run in so maybe there will be a turn around yet. Man u look like they will finish third, and much as i would like to see Liverpool get the fourth spot, it does not look likely unless they get divine intervention. I think fourth spot will go to either Aston Villa or Man City.

But i'm not sure if the rules have changed, but remember the last time Liverpool won the Champions League they took the place of Everton who had finished in fourth place by virtue of winning the then Euafa cup. Could it happen again? Liverpool win the Europa League and go on to win the Champions title again? no? well i can dream can't i?

Like the saddo I am I have filled in my anticipated results in the BBC table predictor and sadly for a Gooner like myself Chelsea first by 2 points from Manu and Arsenal with Manu claiming second on Goal Difference.

Villa fourth btw.

Will turn on the result of the Manu Chelsea game, which I had as a draw.

chelsea look to strong for everyone else, Arsenal don't have much of a chance catching them. The season in the prem could well be over for them by sat evening if they get beat at stoke, its not a ground they like.

Looks like Manchester United fans can move their banner over another year after city's defeat to Stoke (3-1)

Sorry Japeal you will have to wait another year before you can buy a trophy!

It pains me as a Yorkshireman, but I can't see any team overhauling Man Utd. If titles were given to the most entertaining football team, then Aresnal would win by a street mile. I think that Chelsea will be the bridesmaid again (despite Man Utd progress in Champions League) and the Gunners third, although I wouldn't rule them out for Champions League.

It could all be decided after United's next two home games, Liverpool and Chelsea if they can get six points from them then they could be in with a good chance of winning the title again as long as they do not lose any more players to injury because Fergies rotation system might just go out the window. Mind you he may not have a team next year as the rumours are that Rooney, Vidic and Evra will be targeted by (Get) Real Madrid during the summer.

Lets face it, it's all guess work but at least it looks interesting until the final week of the season. Liverpool usually spoil the party after they have left it, and may well win again this Sunday. Chelski will also be more determined now after being bundled out of the Euro by their old Uncle. (But Norwich look good for the top spot.)

As an Arsenal fan i hate to say it - CHELSEA .......... probaby deresved over the season ....£ for £ Arsenal are in different league, but that wins nothing.......we needed a striker & he relied in Bendnter ..... lets face it he would not get in chelsea, man u, man c, liverpool or even SPURS squads

Hey, Bill.. that's how it looks now, but this year has seen VERY unpredictable results.. The truth - as seen by the CL exit of all Eng clubs in the Qtr finals - is that there is no outstanding Prem league team this year..
