i think KIB-ET... (meat wholesalers just next door to it) own the place...

would be an idea to get some reviews on it...

that chap that stands outside sometimes with a funny looking hat looks pretty ridiculous though...

maybe they should keep him in the kitchen!

Has the new restaurant opened on the left after the roundabout near the Pia Bella going towards Lemar? There had been a shell of a building there for about 3 years but when we were there at Christmas & New Year looked as though it was ready to open.

Have been there when it first opened. More of a cafe than a restaurant (I like tablecloths on the table) but the steak was top notch!! Salad in a bowl was dished up with the steak and lovely caremilsed onions and a small potato. Good prices so give it a try 7/10

Hello Woodspekie, the restaurant has opened by Pia Bella roundabout on the way to Catalkoy. Looks absolutely fab at night when all lite up. Heard the drinks are a little on the high side, you can go in for just a drink to look around. Food good but not what you expect. Chicken breast came out more like a snitzel but tasted good, prices as you would expect for the ambience. Have you tried Mos near Polar restaurant at Karakum? Been several times, the steaks are to die for 29tl with all the trimmings. It is a very large restaurant and unfortunately they are not very busy, except New Year and that was fantastic.

Scruffdog - I think you are referring to Tango to Buddha. I don't thing the steak house serves alcohol. We were tempted to try it earlier this year but it is very basically furnished, i.e. like a canteen and it was so cold and unwelcoming that we came back out again. Shame really because the steaks should be good coming direct from the butcher!!

eastenders

I presume it was full .Worth booking if its so popular that it has to turn customers away. Here is me thinking that restaurants were suffering in NC with too many restaurants for too few customers,so good to see someone doing as well as this.

One problem.

If you couldnt get in with a peasant type car ,what chance would I have with no car?. Could always tell them I parked the Merc round the corner or my chauffeur had taken it for a wash.

Eastender, if it was a weekend they are usually fully booked, you stand a better chance mid week. If they don't like your car, the valet takes it 'round the back' for you and collects it when you leave!! That is what happened to us anyway!!

Never seen anyone in Kibet restaurant yet. Will give it a try when the weather gets warmer. Looks chilly at present.

Tango to Budda. From what I've heard dear food, very dear drinks, luke warm food & poor service. Sorry not for me.

...i think its quite rude for a waiter to walk up to a guest in the restaurant and request them to move their car to the back because its not flash enough...

...not everyone in NC spends everything they own on a car!
