Does anyone know, approximately, the capacity of the Catholic Church in Girne? (The one up the road opposite the Dome Hotel.)

Don't know exactly but judging by the size of it from the outside I would at a guess say approx 30 max.

Hi Peppa I would say about 30 but there are always lots of chairs outside and they do have some sort of awning up so you are covered.

Thank you everyone.

Liz, so with the awning, is there more "seating" basically? Would they be able to hear the service inside if they were seated outside?

IKs this question because you are arranging a wedding? iT IS YEARS SINCE i WENT IN THERE, but one thing I do know is that it has a lovely atmosphere inside, and I guess if eveyrone stands, you can pack in a lot more.

Sorry to keep asking questions, just trying to get a picture in my head!

Dear PeppaPig,

As it is for a wedding and not just curiosity, I will try to find out exactly, if you wish. But if you do want me to, it will take a few days.f

Or are you satisfied you have a good image of what it is like>

Over to you. Cos I would have thought if it is for a wedding then you want toknow eveyrone can fit inside - yes?

Hi peppa it is no problem to hear the mass outside. We never go inside as its easier to stay out and get any breeze.

I must admit its a beautiful quaint church , but thats just my opinion

Peppa, the figure I quoted includes the exterior capacity. There is an awning to shelter from the sun and some portable seating

I forgot to say it is a lovely building in true Greek orthodox style. Quaint, but it definitely has a spirituality about it - just right for a wedding. But I am sure that no one wants to be outside!
