All i can find out for you is that the company was from Hertfordshire.i think they paid some where in the region of 20k,but i could be wrong,it was many years ago,but 20k stands out in my mind.

im sure most of them will have many referal letters and photos to show you once you make contact.

Bit of a funny bunch of people really, bit like the masons

Musin I have tried so many times to get hold of the Thatching and Building Co that P4aul mentions and left numerous messages but they never call me back. We need to get our ridge done. Our neighbour used them last summer and they were very good......if you can get hold of them! I cant imagine they are busy in this weather! Will keep trying though.

Had some luck! They answered the phone! Anyway very busy and may not be able to do ours until next year but we arent too desperate yet so might be able to wait. Try rining now Musin and you might catch the lady.

Thanks Musin I may take you up on that if we cant wait. They did a great job on our neighbour's house so hopefully they can do ours at some point. We dont have a leaking ridge at the moment so fingers crossed we can get a few more months out of it! Keep me posted on yours though!

Musin. Try this company - http://www.countrythatching.co.uk/?gclid=COjC4O6vi6ACFdkB4wodc3SEeQ

It's worth getting a few quotes, more importantly look at a portfolio of their work. Try to get some recommendations from local people.
