| try paint thinners or petrol but becareful no smoking while doing it |

| Just soak the tar affected spots in ordinary petrol - it will dissolve the tar. Actually, 'white petrol' is the best - but goodness knows where to source this in TRNC! |

| The old remedy my Mother used was lard. lol I use Swarfega or similar, rub it in the stain then wash. It does smell slightly better than petrol etc. D2 |

| Stain Devils do one specifically for tar removal. But don't know if you can buy it in TRNC. You almost certainly can buy it on the internet. |

| Agree with Harita - used to get covered in the stuff when I was a kid and my mum always used a little bit of butter or margarine. I have also tried it on my feet when picked up tar from the beach - works every time. J |
