I am sure you will be busy in your chosen field of work but:

Do you only repair damp damage? and if so then you know that the problem will return.

Or do you cure damp and repair the damage? in which case do you offer a guarantee?

ahhh AlsancakJack...yes...I somehow knew you would respond reading the other forum posts. So presumptuos too. I am NOT the plasterer or painter and if you read the post properly we are NOT claiming to repair DAMP just the damage that the damp has caused.

I have used them in the past and can thoroughly recommend them. They did a brilliant job and as stated worked quickly but hard and cleaned up afterwards - a bonus out here!!!

That is good, at least people know what to expect.

With regards to your statement ' So presumptuos too.' I do not quite understand what you mean by that.

I just wanted to clarify your initial posting as I have fallen foul of tradesmen that have have promised one thing and have delivered another.

So I guess what you are saying is, get your damp problems sorted and then you can do the required repairs.

Yep?

Oh by the way'

I do not think that anyone in their right mind would want to repair 'damp' problems without getting the root cause of the damp sorted out first.

thanks so much for clarifying the unnecessary AJ.

Most houses have re-occuring damp problems here, however large or small, previously treated or not....fact is it looks horrid!

So whether you have to do the same spots every year in the Spring or decide to completely 'treat & repair' once and for all (good luck with the latter!) my hubby is the best and once he's finished you wont even see the repair..... a bonus if you are selling, renting or having people stay.

Thanks for the reference Lydia.

I must agree with Sammie B - not all damp and mould problems here are caused by DAMP PROBLEMS as such - I had rain come in through my roof this year every time it has rained ( now mended by my hubby ) but has left me with mouldy spots and brown marks (- that along with the fact that I use calor gas to heat my lounge) it is for the first time in 7 years white with black spots - not the latest fashion look!!!!!
