After some research we have found out that the Fiat Doblo is made in Turkey as well as other parts of the world. We rather like this car and need to know the following. Do they make the right hand drive in Turkey and would the import duties be less importing it from Turkey to the TRNC thanUK to TRNC. Any help appreciated.

They also make the Ford Connect in Turkey Left and right hand drives with passenger options as well as vans

The Ford will offer a much more reliable and long lasting product IMHO

i lived in turkey for a few years, and yes the doblo was very popular over there usually with the estate agents as its a cheap car with pelenty of room for the punters, there were made in the old tofas factory so spares and repairs were easy to sort out any tofas garage will be able to sort out repairs, as for a right hand drive i doubt if they had any i never saw any, i think you will find anything imported from turkey is just the same as anywhere else as i found out when i moved here from turkey

Hi Andrew & Wanderer,

Thanks for your replies, I had hoped that importing from Turkey would have been cheaper but as yet no one seems to know for definite if this is the case. Also right hand drive for the TRNC is a must.

Looking at the information I got when I imported a car there seemed to be no differentiation where the vehicle came from

I've heard not read that they won't allow left hand drives to stay permanently

Under 3 years old or if you've owned it for 5 years are the main creteria
