i am so very sorry to announce the death of my beautiful dog blackjack only about 40 minutes ago. I thank you all for your kind messages and phone calls. AJ i tried to email you to say you did the right thing.I am upset as you can imagine but can i tell you all the story in his memory.I found him amongst a litter of 15 he was the smallest when they were two or three weeks old. we had just lost the brasserie then i i used to se this little tot walking along by the house, one night we followed it to this god awful compound, puppies everywhere with thier mums tied to trees. Anyway we feed them, bear in mind we hadnt the money then to feed ourselves, but as we had closed the restaurabt everything duck chicken etc paspa pasta etc we had to use.This thing touched my heart so much, pipspeak i called him.I didnt have dishes big ebough so took the traYS OUT OF THE INDUSTRIAL OVENS, WELL THE ONE NIGHT THE LITTLE TERROR CAME UP sorry they do it all the time. in a wig of pasta. I am so sorry for you Liz...after everything, for this to happen on your own doorstep is awful. It will be worth you letting people know where the dog was when it was poisoned so that others can avoid the area, but I hope that it wasnt in your own garden...it just beggars belief that someone would so deliberately target someones beloved pets. x

nights he was hobbling to see me for food, he was always greedy being the small one. I said why is is hobbling when he was always the first, well answer his stomach was hanging out. We raced him to pertev who informed us he was one half an hour from death. i prayer over him and wished him back , bugger me he survived. After 10 days he went to stay with my friend as he couldnt be with other dogs and I had only 2 at the time. he caught parvo virus. Pertev begged me to let him go. He told me he will not survive. Prayers I said and I did every day by his cage. eventually he came back still no contact with dogs by this time we had the restaurant so he stayed and was much loved. After 10 days my daughter and my youngest grandchild who is autistic visited. He could not speak but could speak to the dog. now you know why im so sad mad and angry. i want to kill them. guido is out now to burying my lovely blackjack. tinkie it was my garden when i put the washing out we always played a game, he must have gone over the wall in 3 minutes. everyday day we did this game i would shakke a towel and they would try to grab i would win, thats how it was but they went for a run round the pool as usual then the worse xxxxxx

tinkie how many have i homed , these were special to me. bj was the lovelist dog in the world, when we had him all my customers brought him trears , played ganes etc as he could not be in contact with other dogs, i cant tell my grandchild oliver who loves him so muzzzzzzzzzzzzz

What can anyone say to Lilli, other than 'Sorry' and send a cyberspace hug. The life of many dogs over here is just so unfair. Dogs that are rescued from a living hell are then sent off to heaven by undeveloped souls with two legs who do not appreciate what a gift our four legged friends are.



Lilli, I will pop in and see you when I can, but in the menatime, could you e mail me a picture of BJ. I have pictures of the other two dogs poisoned, but would like one of BJ to go with it.



I have also spoken to Margaret at KAR and will tell yhou of that conversaton when I get to see you.



For now, it is goodnight time fo rme, but had to get in a quick word. Hope you sleep well, but I know it will be difficult.

I read this at 6am this morning and have been weeping ever since. I met little BJ in the early days of Guido's restaurant. Paul and I wanted to adopt him but in the end Liz and Guido couldn't let that little fellah, who had fought so hard to survive, go. They loved him so much and fought for him to survive.



I am shocked and horrified that this could happen to any animal living here. I am also worried sick that letting my two into our own back garden may one day end up the same way.



Liz you have done so much in helping as many dogs as you could. BlackJack was special because against all odds and with a lot of love and care, he survived his puppy days with you. I feel so heartbroken for you loss. I just don't know what else to say.
