Heavy rain and floods have caused disasters in many parts of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The rain which continued throughout the day yesterday led to severe flooding in Guzelyurt, the region hardest hit by the rains.

The opening of the gates of the Astromerit dam in South

Cyprus caused the streams to burst their banks.

Many houses, shops, roads and cars were flooded.

Just read this on a link can anyone confirm that this was yesterday and if any other areas have been flooded in NC Also does anyone have a property close to a ravine or cliff face and do you feel safe due to this adverse weather.

its old. and some UBP politicians immediately blamed to the greeks - which was obvious wrong, as they did not open any of their damms.. But for UBP the greeks are always to blame. Even if there is no rain - its the greeks ..

the flood was 18th January
