My friend had various items stolen from her house over the weekend. If anyone offers any of the the following goods to you please can you either contact the police or let me know via this site.

VOIP telephone (Siemans)

An old LG mobile phone.

Burgundy leather briefcase.

Silver mantle clock.

Small japanese dish with gold handle.

Many thanks, Lesley

That is dreadful for her, I hope they catch the bstrd and she gets her things back.

I haven't heard about any break-ins for a while and do hope that they aren't starting again.

Thanks for letting us know.

Just to help others, do you know how they gained entry?

They got in through the side door. Her house is quite isolated, to the left of the riverside roundabout and over the ravine and up a bit. Obviously she is very distraught as she lives on her own and a lot of the jewellery stolen was given to her by her deceased husband.

I wish she put hers in a bank safe. Thats what I did with mine. I was always worried about this sort of thing and was always rushing home when we were out. It has really soothed my mind. I recommend everyone with valuables to get a safety deposit box. mine cost 35 pounds sterling for the year, but the smaller boxes are only 30

Your poor friend. My mum had her handbag filled with everything she had - all her money and valuables- stolen when I was a little girl. I will never forget the feeling of violation and emptiness.
