Hi,



Planning on a trip nect month, can anyone advise:-



1. Are there days to avoid, ie half day closing

2. Recommend hotel near grand bazaar, blue mosque

3. Cost of flights from Ercan.

4. Is it safe to leave car at Ercan airport for 4 days

5. Best buys.



Thats all I can think of at moment, but am sure more questions to follow.

2) All much of a muchness. Checkout the website of trip advisor to find a decent one then book through an agent like all-hotels.com or lastminute.com

3)Around £80 return per person

4)Yes. Parking is 5YTL for however long you leave it. If the man says how many days, just say 1. The tickets are not dated or time stamped in anyway, so they don't know when you arrived.

5) Everything! But do haggle, please!!

i would actually say book direct through the hotel - bit cheaper sometimes. stayed in this hotel which is just around the corner from Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Ayia Sofia etc etc - all within walking distance, and just outside Gulhane tram stop. Great location, nice brekkie and a nice clean and modern hotel.
